Prevent Affiliate Fraud with Top-Tier Detection Features
A built-in fraud engine checks every click and conversion in real time, flagging bot traffic, fabricated conversions, and self-referral as they happen. Each flag names the exact rule that caught it, so you always know why.

What It Catches
Trackdesk watches three layers of your program and flags the patterns that signal fraud: clicks, conversions, and affiliate accounts.
Bot and Invalid Click Traffic
Catches automated non-human clicks: traffic from data-center IPs, crawlers, library bots, and a single IP firing clicks far faster than a user would.
Fabricated Conversions
Catches manufactured conversions: ones that fire too fast after the click, or that carry over suspicion from a click already flagged upstream.
Duplicate Affiliate Accounts
Catches one person running several accounts to game payouts: multiple sign-ups sharing the same registration IP or the same billing details.
Self-Referral Fraud
One of the hardest types to spot is an affiliate driving conversions to themselves. Trackdesk runs three dedicated rules for it. It flags a conversion when:
The buyer's IP matches the affiliate's registered IP
The affiliate's own email appears in the advS parameter or an external click ID
Fraud Detection Built Into Your Workflow
Real-Time, On by Default
The engine checks every click and conversion the moment it lands, from the first touch to the payout. It's on from day one, with no setup to switch on or configure.
Flags Inside Your Existing Reports
Suspicious clicks, conversions, and affiliates are marked in your affiliate list, click and conversion reports. There's no separate fraud dashboard to monitor.
Full Visibility Into Every Flag
Each flag shows the exact rule that triggered it, so you always know why something was marked. No opaque score to take on trust.
Act on Any Flag in One Place
From a flagged item, review the case and approve, block, or ignore it. A visibility toggle lets you show or hide fraud indicators across the platform.
Turn any detection rule on or off in Settings → Fraud Prevention, so detection matches your vertical and your risk tolerance—relax what's normal for your traffic, tighten what isn't.
Two rules are adjustable. Flag an IP after a set number of clicks in a set window (default: 4 per 24 hours), and flag conversions that land faster than a set delay after the click (default: 30 seconds).
Pushed a rule too far? Restore its default parameters instantly. You can experiment freely without losing your footing.
Turning a rule off only affects new traffic. Anything already flagged keeps its flag, so your detection history stays intact.
A full set across clicks, conversions, and affiliate accounts, all enabled by default — covering bot and data-center traffic, fabricated conversions, self-referral, and duplicate accounts. The complete list is in the Fraud Prevention guide.
